The Pittsburgh Pirates pending deal with Francisco Liriano
is “still on track,” but it will continue to be delayed until the free agent’s
non-throwing arm heals, according to Jon Heyman of CBS Sports.

The Pirates agreed to a two-year deal with Liriano in early January, but the agreement was delayed due to an arm injury revealed during Liriano’s physical.
It was reported later last month that Liriano had suffered his injury in the Dominican Republic over the winter. He reportedly fell in a
bathroom days after reaching his agreement with the Pirates.
Liriano will now have to undergo another physical once his
non-throwing arm heals.
Liriano spent most of his career with the Minnesota Twins,
but he was traded to the Chicago White Sox last season. In seven years in the
majors, the left-hander owns a career ERA of 4.40.
