Despite the PED allegation surrounding him, Gio Gonzalez will pitch for Team USA in the World Baseball Classic. Gonzalez had a fantastic year last season and was asked to participate by Joe Torre himself.
According to Team USA's twitter account, Gonzalez has accepted the invitation.

As the Washington Nationals took the American League East by storm, Gonzalez stepped up as an ace to compliment Stephen Strasburg in the rotation. Gonzalez went 21-8 with a 2.89 ERA last season. He finished third in National League Cy Young voting and earned a trip to the All-Star Game.
Gonzalez was recently linked to the PED scandal at Biogenesis in Miami. Gonzalez's name appeared in the ledgers among those linked to the clinic's PED distribution.
