Even after the Lance Berkman signing, the Texas Rangers are
still “looking for more,” according to Jon Heyman of CBS Sports, who adds that
free agents Michael Bourn and Kyle Lohse and Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder
Justin Upton could all be in play for the club.

While Berkman was a nice get for Texas, assuming he can
continue to produce at a level he did for the St. Louis Cardinals, the Rangers
have still had a relatively disappointing offseason. The club has missed out on
several high-profile targets, including Josh Hamilton, Mike Napoli and Zack
Greinke.
There are still a few solid free agents remaining on the
market, and the Diamondbacks are expected to trade Upton or Jason Kubel this
winter. Considering the offseason isn’t up yet, it will be interesting to see
what creative general manager Jon Daniels does to plug his team’s remaining
holes.
