It seems Mike Napoli will be a member of the Boston Red Sox after all.  He and the team seemingly reached a three-year deal earlier in the offseason, but hip problems revealed during his physical put the deal on hold.  After weeks of discussion, the two sides inched closer to a one-year deal yesterday, and it became a reality today.

Robert Bradford of WEEI.com broke the news of the one-year deal and Jon Heyman of CBS Sports gave us the details.

The Red Sox hope Napoli can perform somewhere closer to his 2011 self rather than his 2012 self.  In 2012, Napoli battled a quadriceps injury and saw a drastic drop in production.
