The Miami Marlins have said they’re willing to listen to offers on outfielder Giancarlo Stanton, and the Seattle Mariners have reached
out regarding the slugger, according to Jon Paul Morosi of FOX Sports.
Mariners have contacted Marlins about Giancarlo Stanton, but one source I talked with doubts a trade will occur.

Morosi adds that while the Mariners are interested in
Stanton, a trade is unlikely to occur.
While the Marlins have said they’re willing to listen on
Stanton, they would have to be blown away and a trade doesn’t seem likely this
winter. Still, Stanton is not expected to sign an extension with Miami, leading some to suggest he will be dealt before his current contract expires after the
2016 season.
The Mariners have been on the hunt for offense all winter.
They’ve missed out on several targets, including Josh Hamilton, Nick Swisher
and Cody Ross, and will now have to get creative in order to acquire an impact
bat.
