Take Brett Myers' name off the board. The righty pitcher has signed a one-year deal with the Cleveland Indians. He will likely be added to the team's starting rotation despite working out of the bullpen for the last three seasons. He has plenty of experience as a starter.
According to Tom Withers of the Associated Press (via Yahoo! Sports), Myers signed a one-year deal with a club option for the 2014 season. Withers says the deal is pending a physical and the exact contract amount is not yet known.
Myers has remained healthy for the past few seasons despite some bouts with injuries earlier in his career. He has been a decent pitcher in his career, but he has shown a clear improvement in his ERA since being moved to relief work. Despite the lower ERA, Myers will compete for a starting job this spring.
In his career, Myers is 97-93 with a 4.20 ERA. He has pitched for three teams in his career, most notably with the Phillies. Myers spent his first eight seasons with the Phillies.
The Indians hope Myers will give them some options for either their starting rotation or the bullpen. The Indians have struggled to get over the hump of competitive baseball. At times they have seemed posied to break troiuhg, but then they fall back to earth. Reinforcing their pitching will help.

Brett Myers is a brilliant pitcher. I'm sure he'll deliver for the Cleveland Indians.
