The Seattle Mariners have called the Los Angeles Dodgers

The Seattle Mariners have called the Los Angeles Dodgers repeatedly about Andre Ethier, and while the Dodgers' intention is to open the season with him as their right fielder, they have told other teams all winter that they're always willing to listen to offers. As of now, the Mariners haven't been moved to present any, sources say.
Olney notes it’s the Dodgers’ intention to open the season
with Ethier in right field, but he adds that the club is willing to listen to
offers on him. However, at this point the Mariners “haven’t been moved to
present any” to Los Angeles.
The Mariners have been pursuing offense throughout the
winter. Considering they’ve missed out on free agent targets such as Josh
Hamilton, Nick Swisher and Cody Ross, Seattle may be forced to get creative in
order to add to their lineup.
While Olney seems to be leaving room for a potential Ethier trade
to Mariners, Jon Heyman of CBS Sports reports Seattle and Los Angeles haven’t
talked “in weeks.”
