The Atlanta Braves need to fill some holes. However, before they do anything with their pitching, the Braves need to address their offense. They lost Michael Bourn to free agency and will need to add a bat to the lineup and help to their defense. Even so, there have been rumors of interest in Javier Vazquez should he make a return from retirement.
According to Dave O'Brien of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the Braves would not be interested in Vazquez.
Need bat, not starting pitcher. RT @bsum94: @ajcbraves if Vazquez makes a comeback will Braves consider him for 1 year deal if he looks good

Vazquez is familiar with the National League East, something that may be fueling some of the rumors relating him to the Braves. However, he has not even officially decided to come back. Vazquez last pitched in 2011 for the Florida Marlins.
Vazquez posted an impressive 3.69 ERA in 2011. He had struggled in 2010 with the New York Yankees, but overall Vasquez had a decent career. In 14 Major League seasons, Vazquez went 165-160 with a 4.22 ERA.
