The Minnesota Twins, Colorado Rockies and Cincinnati Reds
are among the teams to have checked in on veteran free agent Freddy Garcia,
reports Jon Heyman of CBS Sports.

Heyman adds that, in his opinion, Garcia is a veteran
starter “who knows how to pitch,” as the right-hander has averaged 10 wins over
the last three years.
The Twins have checked in on nearly all low-cost starters on
the free agent market this offseason in their attempt to fill out their rotation.
Minnesota has already added Kevin Correia and Mike Pelfrey and traded Ben
Revere to the Philadelphia Phillies in order to acquire Vance Worley and Trevor
May.
At this point the Twins have a projected starting rotation
that includes Scott Diamond, Worley, Pelfrey and Correia. They could look to
fill the No. 5 starter void through another acquisition or from within the
organization.
