Twins Rumors: Minnesota Eyeing Brandon Webb, Brett Myers

The Twins will be one of the teams at Brandon Webb’s post-holidays throwing session, reports ESPN 1500, who adds that Minnesota has also maintained “healthy dialogue” with free agent right-hander Brett Myers.

The Twins will be among the teams at free agent pitcher Brandon Webb's throwing session after the holidays. The Twins are maintaining healthy dialogue with free agent Brett Myers' camp.

The Twins are in need of starting pitchers to continue filling out their rotation. Minnesota entered the offseason with only one arm penciled into their 2013 starting rotation, left-hander Scott Diamond. They’ve since acquired Vance Worley and Trevor May from the Phillies in exchange for Ben Revere and Alex Meyer from the Washington Nationals for Denard Span. The team has also signed free agent right-hander Kevin Correia.

Myers was a late-inning reliever last season for the Houston Astros and Chicago White Sox. However, the veteran said he’d like another shot at starting in 2013. Meanwhile, Webb hasn’t pitched at the major league level since 2009 due to shoulder issues.
