The Detroit Tigers have been fielding calls on right-hander
Rick Porcello, and the Baltimore Orioles and Seattle Mariners are among the
teams that have expressed interest in the starter, reports Jon Paul Morosi of
FOX Sports.

After the Tigers re-signed Anibal Sanchez they were left
with six starters to fill five spots, also including Porcello, Drew Smyly,
Justin Verlander, Max Scherzer and Doug Fister. At this point it’s been
speculated that one of Porcello or Smyly will be dealt this winter.
The Orioles have been in the market for starting pitching
all offseason. Beyond Porcello, they’ve been tied to Joe Saunders, Kyle Lohse
and other veteran free agents.
Seattle recently traded Jason Vargas to the Los Angeles Angels
for Kendrys Morales and could be eyeing Porcello to fill the void created by
the trade.
