The New York Mets and Toronto Blue Jays are closing in on a
trade that centers on right-hander and 2012 National League Cy Young winner
R.A. Dickey, reports Joel Sherman of The New York Post.
But right now it's Dickey/Thole/prospect (told not elite) for d/Arnaud/Syndegaard/Buck/prospect (told not elite) #Mets #Bluejays

Could change because #Bluejays will likely send some $ to #Mets to cover some cost of Buck, so could be another prospect rather than $

The trade has been developing over the past two days, as it’s
become clear that the Blue Jays are the favorite to land Dickey. The deal has
grown beyond just Dickey going to the Blue Jays, as there are now reportedly
seven players involved.
At this point the reported deal would send Dickey, catcher
Josh Thole and a non-elite prospect to the Blue Jays in exchange for prospects
Travis d’Arnaud and Noah Snydegaard, catcher John Buck and a non-elite
prospect. Sherman adds that Toronto is also likely to send money or another
prospect to New York to cover some of Buck’s cost.
If the Blue Jays are able to acquire Dickey, it will mean
that they’ve landed a trio of front-of-the-rotation starters this winter, also
including Josh Johnson and Mark Buehrle.
