While the New York Mets have expressed interest in Oakland
Athletics outfielder Coco Crisp, there is a sense that the A’s will hang onto
the veteran, reports Ken Davidoff of The New York Post. Beyond Crisp, Jon
Heyman of CBS Sports adds that the Mets are also in the market for bullpen
help.

Crisp re-signed with the A’s last offseason and is under
contract through 2013. Oakland owns a 2014 team option worth $7.5 million for the
33-year-old, who hit .259/.325/.418 with 25 doubles, seven triples and 11 home
runs over 455 at-bats last season.
Heyman notes that there are several “good options left” on
the relief market, including Jose Valverde, Francisco Rodriguez and Matt Capps.
