Even after signing center fielder B.J. Upton this week, the
Atlanta Braves are interested in several free agent outfielders, including Ryan
Ludwick, Cody Ross and Shane Victorino, and the club shouldn’t be entirely
ruled out when it comes to trading for Justin Upton of the Arizona
Diamondbacks, reports David O’Brien of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
#Braves interested in several FA OFs including Ludwick, Ross, Victorino. But don't entirely rule out them going bigger, in form of J.Upton.

The Braves signed Upton to a five-year, $75 million contract
to become their long-term option in center field. Despite the signing, Atlanta
is still in the market for a corner outfielder and they’re targeted several of
the market’s top options.
Ross is interested in a three-year contract this winter,
while Ludwick and Victorino may have to settle for shorter-term deals
considering their age.
There has been some talk of the Braves filling two-thirds of
its outfield with Upton’s. B.J. and Justin’s father would be a fan of the
brothers uniting in Atlanta, and O’Brien says the Braves haven’t entirely ruled
out the idea either.

ReplyDeleteI'm a fan of the Braves but I would love for them to have resign Broune back for centerfield
Not a big fan of the B.J. Upton signing myself. Wonder where Bourn will land.
