Angels Rumors: LA Likely to trade Peter Bourjos, Mark Trumbo

Following their signing of free agent slugger Josh Hamilton, the Los Angeles Angels are “very likely” to trade one of their additional outfielders, Peter Bourjos or Mark Trumbo, for a pitcher, reports Danny Knobler of CBS Sports.

Knobler notes that it could be either Bourjos or Trumbo depending on which pitcher the team gets in return. Jon Heyman of CBS Sports adds that Trumbo seems to be “less available” than Bourjos.

The Angels have already acquired Tommy Hanson and Joe Blanton this offseason, but they remain in the market for pitching after trading Ervin Santana to the Kansas City Royals, declining Dan Haren’s option for 2013 and losing Zack Greinke to free agency.

The Angels are one of the teams that are reportedly in the mix for New York Mets right-hander R.A. Dickey. Beyond Bourjos and Trumbo, outfielder Kendrys Morales and right-hander Garrett Richards could also be available.
