Detroit Tigers right-hander Doug Fister is showing no signs
of a concussion after being hit in the head by a line drive Thursday, reports
Jayson Stark of ESPN.
"He's never had a headache. He's never had dizziness. Nothing," Rand said. "He's had no symptoms at any time."
Fister was struck in the head during Thursday’s Game 2 by a
line drive off the bat of San Francisco Giants outfielder Gregor Blanco. While
the Tigers were concerned over the delayed onset of a concussion, Fister didn’t
show signs Thursday or over the past two days of tests.
Fister didn’t undergo a CT scan or MRI because of the lack
of symptoms, and because he’s passed the tests by the doctors and trainers he’s
been cleared to work out and pitch.
